How Our Floor Restoration Company Works

Firstly, Sheehan Floors visit your home/premises to measure and generate a quotation. We do not charge for quotations. If you are happy with our quotation, we agree on a start date.

• If it is a floor installation project it will require a few visits to check the moisture content before a start date can be agreed.

• If its a floor sanding or floor refinishing project we agree a start date and make sure the area to be sanded is completely clear. How long it takes to sand the floor will depend on the size of the area and the condition of the floor prior to sanding. In most cases the floor is sanded and sealed on the same day or the second day. The first coat can be applied within a few hours of applying the sealer coat. The final coat is usually applied the following day. The floor gets a light buffing before the final coat is applied.

The floor can be walked on with stockings only for the first few days. It will be dry but curing underneath. It is recommended that no furniture be put on the floor for at least five days.

Room Contents
Where possible the room(s) should be cleared of all contents prior to the start date. If necessary, we may with your agreement, arrange for the removal of contents. We do our utmost to ensure that as little as possible inconvenience is caused to our customers.
